Gorelick, MD, who was at NIDA at the time of the study and is currently professor of psychiatry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, told<i>Medscape Medical News.<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #444444;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4737\" src=\"http:\/\/seragpsych.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/marijuana_driving.jpg\" alt=\"marijuana_driving\" width=\"200\" height=\"151\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #444444;\">In addition, the investigators found that the Dr\u00e4ger DrugTest 5000 (Dr\u00e4gerwerk AG and Co) on-site screening device had high diagnostic sensitivity and specificity for cannabinoid detection.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #444444;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4741\" src=\"http:\/\/seragpsych.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Marijuana-1.jpg\" alt=\"Marijuana (1)\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #444444;\">&#8220;A reliable, noninvasive test for marijuana use could be a valuable tool in the workplace or for drugged driving tests,&#8221; the researchers note in a release.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; The first study to compare the ability of oral devices to detect occasional and frequent marijuana use by testing saliva has shed new light on which test is best.
