Start your day with a glass of birch sap.<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Loaded with vitamin C, birch sap is a sweet liquid from birch stress. I find that this drinking this helps me feel lighter and refreshed.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">2. Eat foods rich in potassium citrate.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>They can help alkalize the body. Opt for prunes, avocados, raisins, peaches, strawberries, spinach, apples or fresh mushrooms.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">3. Add garlic to your meals as often as possible.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>It&#8217;s great for you. Garlic is an antioxidant that&#8217;s been shown to help the immune system.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4. Drink nettle tea.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Available in most health food stores, this herbal tea is soothing and I find that this helps my digestion.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">5. Treat yourself at the spa.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Get a sports massage or enjoy the sauna every now and then. These spa treatments really do keep you healthy!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>6. Do a castor oil pack.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Soak a towel in cold-pressed castor oil, ring it out, and put it on your abdomen. Place a hot water bottle on top and lie down for 30 minutes. Try oil pulling.<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Mix 1 teaspoon of organic coconut oil with 1 drop of essential oil. Swish around in your mouth for 10 minutes. (Have no idea what oil pulling is? Start here.)<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">8. Stimulate your lymphatic system with dry skin brushing twice a day.<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Brush your naked body with a natural bristle brush starting with your feet and working towards your heart. Then take a shower alternating between hot and cold water.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">9. Detox with psyllium husk.<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Grind 1 teaspoon of psyllium husk in a blender. Mix into an 8-ounce glass of water and drink daily for two weeks. Psyllium husk is loaded with fiber and available at most health food stores. Be sure you&#8217;re drinking at least two quarts of water a day.<\/p>\n<p>Always talk to your health care practitioner before making any dietary changes or before introducing supplements into your diet.<\/p>\n<p>Detox your cleaning cabinets<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">10. Make all-purpose cleaner.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In an empty spray bottle, mix warm water with 2 Tablespoons baking soda, 1 Tablespoon white vinegar and 10 drops lavender oil. Use like regular cleaner.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">11. Clean your toilet the non-toxic way.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Before going to bed, pour a glass of white vinegar into the toilet bowl. Scrub briefly and the bowl will be cleaner the next morning.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">12. Make a DIY fridge air freshener<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Put a small bowl with freshly ground coffee into your fridge to eliminate bad smells.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">13. Try this recipe for drain pipe cleaner.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Mix equal parts white vinegar, salt and baking soda in a bottle and slowly pour into dirty drains. Repeat if necessary.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">14. Soften up your fabric softener.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Mix 8 cups of coarse salt with 50 drops of your favorite essential oil(s). Store in an airtight container and add 6 Tablespoons to your wash loads.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">15. Clean your washing machine.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Pour a glass of white vinegar into your washing machine and run a complete cycle.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ff0000;\">16. Make DIY wipes.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Cut old white T-shirts or sheets into equal-sized pieces. Put in a bucket with 2 cups of water, 5 Tablespoons white vinegar and 1 Tablespoon organic liquid soap until soaked. Keep in an airtight container.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">17. Make an all-natural herbicide.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Bring 4 cups of water to boil and mix with 5 Tablespoons vinegar and 2 teaspoons salt. Store in a spray bottle and use like regular herbicide.<\/p>\n<p>Detox your personal products<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">18. Treat your teeth with DIY toothpaste.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Grind 2 cups of xylitol in a high-speed blender. Add two cups of melted coconut oil and 1 cup of baking soda. Blend. Pour into an airtight container and add a couple of drops peppermint oil.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">19. Try DIY deodorant.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Make another batch of toothpaste but add your favorite essential oil. Best deodorant ever! (Not ready to make your own? Here are six natural ones to try.)<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">20. Use gentler shampoo.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Use a bar of organic castile soap to wash your hair. This also works great as shaving foam<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">21. Care for your split ends.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Before washing your hair, massage half a teaspoon olive oil into dry and split ends. Repeat weekly.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">22. Pamper your hair with a mask.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Twice a month, massage argan oil into your scalp and hair. Cover with a towel and leave on for an hour.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">23. Treat dandruff holistically.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Mix 1 Tablespoon olive oil with 2 drops essential citrus oil. Massage into your scalp for a couple of minutes, and then wash your hair.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">24. Cleanse your face with a vitamin exfoliator.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Mix a teaspoon of vitamin C powder with some almond milk. Massage the paste into your face, rinse and apply some rosewater. (I buy my vitamin C and my rosewater from Amazon.com.)<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">25. Treat your dry hands or heels.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Dissolve 2 Tablespoons of baking soda in 4 cups of warm water and soak your hands or heels in it for 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">26. Make this anti-acne mask.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Mix 2 Tablespoons raw honey with 1 Tablespoon Bentonite Clay, which is a healing clay that&#8217;s very popular in Germany.
