Is there someone who can check in on you regularly? What would you do if you fell and couldn\u2019t reach the phone? Keep emergency numbers near each phone or on speed dial. Carry a cell phone (preferably with large buttons and a bright screen), or consider investing in some type of personal alarm system.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Write advance care directives.<\/strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-7745\" src=\"http:\/\/seragpsych.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Oral-signs-and-symptoms-of-iron-deficiency-anemia-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Advance care directives, such as a living will, durable power of attorney for health care, or health care proxy, allow you to explain the type of medical care you want if you\u2019re too sick, confused, or injured to voice your wishes.
